MRS. AMANDA (FRAZIER) KIMBRO, a widely known and eminently successfill land-owner, was born in north Alabama, October 11, 1832. The subject of this sketch came to this country in 1832, and was wedded to John Bell Kimbro October 12, 1852. Mr. Kimbro was a gentleman possessing large business ability and wealth. He was the first president of the First National Bank at Murfreesboro, and a Union man; did not take an active part in the late war, being religiously opposed to it. In 1872 Mr. Kimbro died, leaving his wife and eight children, six of whom are now living: Clarence S., John B., Frazier, Azariah, Fitzie and La Salle. Mrs. Kimbro is a devout and consistent member of the Baptist Church; is an enterprising and estimable lady, and is justly recognized as a prominent and influential member of the community in which she lives.
