H. E. Inman is a prosperous jeweler of Mountain Grove, Wright Co., Mo., and was born in Chemung County, N. Y., in 1862. His parents, Charles D. and Abigail M. (Robins) Inman, were also born in the Eastern States, the father having also been born in Chemung County, N. Y. From early boyhood he followed the occupation of farming, and after his removal to Missouri, in 1879, he continued to till the soil. He now resides in Wright County, Mo., and owns 280 acres of land. His union with Miss Robins resulted in the birth of nine children, H. E. Inman having been next to the youngest in order of his birth. He was educated in his native State, and came to Missouri with his parents, and in 1882 launched in business for himself at Mountain Grove, where his efforts have been attended with good results, his income amounting to about $1,000 for the year ending in 1888. He owns a good residence and two lots in the town, and owing to his energy and good management, bids fair to become one of the wealthy citizens of the county. He was married May 27, 1886, to Miss Mary E. Braselton, who was also born in 1862, and by her is the father of one child, Charley E. Mrs. Inman is finely educated, and was a successful teacher of music for some time. They are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and in his political views Mr. Inman is a stanch Republican. His paternal grandfather, Stephen Inman, was a successful farmer of Chemung County, N. Y.
