An historic photo view of the St. James Church (sometimes referred to as the Goose Creek Church) at Goose Creek, South Carolina. Built 1713-19, it is said that the church was saved from destruction by British troops during the Revolutionary War due to the presence of the Royal Coat of Arms that can be seen above the pulpit. This historic church building is still standing and was designated as a National Landmark in 1970. It is located at 100 Vestry Lane, Goose Creek, Berkeley County, South Carolina.
