A historic photo view of the F. M. Smith and Co. Game market, Chicago, Illinois. This is an early example of a butcher shop or meat market that featured mostly wild game. At left, the barrels, table tops, and hanging from the bench are a variety of game birds including ducks and geese still fully feathered. The barrels are right are filled with clams and oysters and topped with lobsters.
