San Francisco, California, Engine 15 Firehouse, South Facade, 1894, fire engine, historic photo

A close-up view of a state of the art fire engine in front of the firehouse in 1894.

This firehouse building was built in 1885 and survived the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906. Unfortunately, it did not survive modern times as the building was demolished in 1959. It was located at 2114 California Street, Pacific Heights, San Francisco, California.

These photos were taken by photographer W. Cathcart, on April 10, 1894.
