His parents, William and Malisent (Hicks) Crews, were natives of the same State, and came to Tennessee about 1830. Mr. Crews was a resident of Lawrence County until 1864, when he came to Wayne County and resided on several different farms until 1881, when he purchased his present farm of 80 acres, on which he located and has lived to the present time.
