THOMAS C. JONES, attorney at law, McKeesport, was born in Pittsburgh, September 2, 1860, a son of David and Elizabeth J. (Conway) Jones. His paternal grandfather was William Jones, a native of Wales, and his maternal grandfather was Thomas Conway, a native of Ireland, both of whom were among the pioneers of Pittsburgh. Thomas C. Jones was reared in McKeesport, and educated at the academy and Waynesburg College. He began the study of law in 1882, at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and graduated in March, 1884. He then studied one year in the office of James Evan, Esq., of McKeesport; was admitted to the bar April 20, 1885, and has since been in active practice, with offices in McKeesport and Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church; was elected a member of the city council in February, 1888; politically he is a republican.
