ROBERT McKINNEY, farmer, post office Elizabeth, is a grandson of Matthew and Elizabeth (Lard) McKinney. His parents were James and Mary Jane (Blee) McKinney, and he was born May 7, 1825, in what is now Forward township. His wife was Nancy, daughter of Robert Marshall, of Ohio, and she died Dec. 20, 1880, leaving four children: Robert Marshall, James Wallace, Mary Jane (Mrs. Joseph Lytle) and Margaret Elizabeth (Mrs. James Gambol). Mr. McKinney has always followed farming; he and his family are members of the Presbyterian Church of Round Hill.
