AGNES A. LARGE, post office Coal Valley, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Harger, was born at Muttontown, near Coal Valley, Jefferson township, where her parents, who were from Beaver county, settled; they are now residents of Coal Valley. Their children were Emeline, Adam, George, Agnes A., Sarah E., Mary Belle and Samuel. Nov. 1, 1876, Agnes A. married Samuel C. Large, a native of Jefferson township, and son of Thomas Large, and after marriage they settled on a farm now owned by Thomas Large, in that township, and engaged in farming. Here Mr. Large died Nov. 14, 1887, leaving four children: Thomas, Sarah E., Zella M. and Oscar F.
