In 1862 he went to Van Buren, Osage County, where he worked at his trade two years, at the end of which time he bought a farm in Osage County, locating near his former home, about three miles south of Linn; at the latter place he successfully followed his trade until 1885, when he removed to Linn, where he now lives and devotes his attention principally to blacksmithing. August 22, 1862, Mr. Holliway married Sarah E. Huckstep, who was born in St. Louis, Mo., in 1838, and was a daughter of Walker Huckstep. To this union were born six children, viz.: James Harrison, John F., Florence, Charles W., Louise and Sarah E.
