A. W. CARSON has been business manager of the daily and weekly Herald since the establishment of each. He was born at Cadiz, Ohio, and was educated at the McNeely Normal School of Ohio. At the age of seventeen he enlisted in the Forty-Third Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and served as a private in Company C. In 1807 he located in Marshfield, Mo., and for a year had charge of the public schools of that place. In 1868 he became proprietor of the Marshfield Yeoman, and has been connected with some newspaper enterprise almost uninterruptedly to the present date.
