Battey Publishing Company in 1885.  These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. BENJAMIN T. FRANK, M. D., is one of the leading physicians of Marshall County, Ky., and a resident of Oakland Precinct, where he owns a valuable farm. Dr. Frank was born December 24, 1845, in Owen County, Ky., and is a son of Johnston and Virlinda (Simpson) Frank. The parents were natives of Kentucky, the father being still a resident of the State and living in Carroll County. The mother died in 1873. Benjamin T. was reared in Owen and Gallatin Counties, received his literary education at Eminence College, after the completion of which he began the study of medicine. He performed the usual preliminary reading under the preceptorship of Dr. William Sullivan, of Rising Sun, Ind. In 1864, he entered Miami Medical College, of Cincinnati, Ohio, receiving the degrees conferred by that institution, in 1867. The first four years of his professional labors were performed at Auburn, Mo., from whence he removed to Florence, Ind., coming to Marshall County, in 1876. Here he enjoys an extensive practice, and the confidence of a large circle of acquaintances. Dr. Frank married in Marshall County, in 1884, Mary Staten, daughter of Miles and Sallie A. Staten; Benjamin T. Frank, Jr., is their only child. Dr. Frank is a member of the Southwest Medical Association, and of the Order of A. F. & A. M. and of the R. A. M.
