These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. WILLIS R. BRADLEY, Hickman County, deceased, was born in Christian County, Ky., February 12, 1821. About the age of twenty he commenced the study of law with R. L. Mayes, of Mayfield, and there was admitted to the bar. In about 1857 he removed to Columbus and there followed his profession until 1861, when he removed to a farm, remaining there until 1865, when he came to Clinton and practiced law until his death, which occurred in 1881. He was married in 1845, at Mayfield, to Ann E. Rodgers, born in Williamson County, Tenn. They had five children, three living: Dr. Eugene Willis Bradley, a graduate of the Louisville Medical College, now engaged in farming; Kate, now the wife of T. W. Ashley, of Clinton; and Miss Nettie. They are members of the Presbyterian Church.
