NIMROD P. JOHNSON, Hickman County, was born August 19, 1836, in Humphreys County, Tenn., where he grew to manhood, and in 1859 came to Hickman County, Ky., where he has since resided. His father, Hiram Johnson, a native of upper Kentucky, died in 1844, in Tennessee. He married Milberry, daughter of Patrick Spicer; she died about 1870. Their children are: Spencer A., Jesse, Caroline, Nimrod P., Margaret and Cordelia. July 7, 1859, N. P. Johnson was married to Miss Eliza J., daughter of Cornelius and Susan Carter, of Hickman County, and to them have been born: Mollie H. (Bugg); Fannie B., deceased; David H., James H., William T., and Joseph J. Mr. Johnson is a farmer, having 303 acres of good land, in a fine state of cultivation. He is a member of the A. F. & A. M., and in his religious affiliations is a Methodist.
