B. S. WILLIAMS was born October 2, 1829, in Graves County, Ky. He is a son of Burrill and Stacey (Pryor) Williams. The father died in June, 1830. Our subject, at the age of twenty, commenced farming on his own account, which he has since followed. He enlisted in 1861 in Arkansas, and served about fifteen months in the Confederate States Army. In 1865 he came to his present farm, consisting of 160 acres. Mr. Williams was married in 1849 to Nancy Rozzell, of Graves County. These parents have five children—one son and four daughters. Mr. Williams is a member of the Masonic fraternity.
