WILLIAM A. JORDON, M. D., was born in North Carolina, November 6, 1850. He was raised on a farm. At the age of seventeen he went to Salt Lake, and was in drug business there one year. He spent the next year in St. Louis, and then returning to North Carolina, he began the study of medicine. Three years later he graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Baltimore, Md. He lived in Havre de Grace one year, and then went to Carter County, Ky., where he practiced eleven months. From there he went to Cincinnati, next to Campbell County, Ky., where he remained one year, and in 1880 went to Columbus, Kan. He is surgeon of south division of Gulf Railroad; is a Freemason and K. P. He was married to Miss Fannie J. Beall, of Kentucky, in 1880, and has one child— Hunter Garnett. He was connected with Board of Health, of Cincinnati, and is a member of Board of Health of Columbus.
