HUSS, PETER, farmer, Sec 4; P. O. Lothrop; born in Germany, Jan. 27, 1845; came to the United States in 1858; he first came to Illinois, and from there to this county in 1861; he married Miss Elsabea Selk, a native of Germany, in the year 1869; she died November 16, 1876; they have one son, Henry, born Nov. 16,1876; he enlisted in the late war in Co. H, Thirty-fourth Iowa Infantry, in August, 1862, and after eight months’ service, was discharged on account of disability, at St. Louis; owns 80 acres of land.
