GRIFFITH, J. H., physician; is a native of Fayette county, Ohio; born December 29, 1826, and emigrated with his father to Ohio when about nine years of age, where he remained till August, 1850, when he came to this county, and since that time has made it his permanent home; he was married in this county in 1855 to Miss Cornelia J. Williams, of Monongahela county, Virginia; they have two sons: P. Y. and A. G.; he was raised on a farm till about twenty years of age, when he bought his own books and began the study of his profession; he attended two courses of lectures at the Kush Medical College and has followed the practice of his profession since 1853.
