ZINN, E. E., of the firm of Fortney, Martin & Co., planing mills; was born in West Virginia, Preston county, in the year 1841, and was raised there, and made it his home till he came to this county, in the fall of 1864, except the time that he spent in the late war; he enlisted in Company B, 4th Virginia, in the fall of 1862, and served for eight months; he was married in this county in 1873, to Miss Mary A. Taylor, of Wisconsin; they have three children: Bertie, Ethnell B. and an infant; Mr. Zinn was raised on a farm till about twenty-two years old; after his return from the war he learned the carpenter’s trade, which he has followed since.
