ADAM WEBER, farmer and stock-raiser, Sec. 20; P. O. Padua. The subject of this sketch was born in Prussia, July 8, 1826, where he lived until 1854, at which time he came to the United States, and settled in Muscatine Co., Iowa, where he lived five years; he then returned to Prussia, where he married his present wife; her maiden name being Anna M. Baker; they came to the United States in the fall of 1859, and, in the spring of 1860, came to Blue Mound Township, where he has since resided; they have eleven children, viz., Francis, John A., Mary, Frank, Elizabeth, Ida, Peter, Henry, Anna, Kate and Emma. Mr. Weber owns 160 acres of land all under cultivation, which he has made by hard work and economy.
