FURLONG, JAMES, proprietor Furlong House, 604 Maine street; was born in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1835; moved to Chicago, Ill., in 1855, having previously spent some time in Toronto, Canada. He then went into the Furlong (now Aetna) House in 1870, and in 1874 he changed his location, fitted up his present commodious hotel, which if not the largest, is unquestionably the best conducted house in Quincy. (Mrs. Furlong is a niece of Dr. Quigley, of San Francisco, Cal.) He keeps first-class carriages for the accommodation of his guests, and the public generally.
