BAKER, AARON, farmer and stock raiser; Sec. 20; P. O. Richfield; was born in Hampshire county, Va., March, 1836; came to Adams county in 1851, located on Sec. 20 in 1853; married in 1861, to Fannie E. Lyon. She was born December, 1842. They have four children, John C., Ora D., La Verdu and Alta Lou. Owns 200 acres of land, all under a good state of cultivation, and worth $10,000. Has held the office of Justice of the Peace two terms and also Collector and Constable, is a man of good standing in the community; politically, is a Democrat. Mrs. Baker is a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist church.
