Nick Lenz, miller and ginner, Morrison Bluff, Ark. Mr. Lenz has all the elements characteristic of those of German nativity—honesty, industry and frugality—and it is only what could be expected that he should become one of the substantial men of the county. He was born in 1862 and his parents, Jacob and Barbara (Polly) Lenz, were natives also of that country, where they passed their entire lives. Nick Lenz received good educational advantages in Germany, and there learned the black smith’s trade, which has since been his principal occupation, although in late years he has been engaged in milling and ginning. In 1883 he left his home and the companions of his youth to seek his fortune in the United States and came to Arkansas, locating in Logan County. He followed blacksmithing until 1887, and then embarked in the milling business, being at the present time the owner of a mill valued at about $3,000. His nuptials with Miss Annie Rina, a native of Arkansas, were celebrated in 1888, and to this union has been born one child, Lizzie C. In his political views Mr. Lenz affiliates with the Democratic party, and he and wife are worthy and esteemed members of the Catholic Church.
