A vintage postcard of the George Jacobs, Sr. House, Salem, Massachusetts. After being accused of being a witch by his own granddaughter and daughter-in-law, the elderly George Jacobs, Sr. was tried and convicted of being a witch. As a result, Jacobs was hanged on August 19, 1692. During the Salem Witch Trials which took place between 1692 and 1693, twenty persons, mostly women, were executed as witches. This postcard view is from about 1910.
