Indiana, Pennsylvania, Boyhood Home of Jimmy Stewart, photos
The boyhood home of the actor, Jimmy Stewart in the city of Indiana, Pennsylvania. This was his home from the age of five years old until he left home. This continued to be the home of his parents until his father died in 1961. His father, Alex Stewart, owned a popular, local hardware store where he proudly displayed the Academy Award that Jimmy Stewart won for the 1940 movie, The Philadelphia Story. The Stewart house is located on a hill overlooking the city at the end of 7th Street at 104 North 7th Street. This area is known as "Vinegar Hill". At the edge of the house lot is a street sign that reads: North 7th St. and Jimmy Stewart.
