An historic photo view of Orchard House, the home of Louisa May Alcott and her family, Concord, Massachusetts. Orchard House was used by Alcott as the setting of her book, Little Women, published in 1868. The Alcott family lived in Orchard House from 1858 to 1877. The house has been preserved and is open for tours.
Louisa May Alcott, born November 29, 1832 at Germantown, Pennsylvania; died March 6, 1888 at Boston, Massachusetts, age 55.
