William C. McConnico, a prosperous farmer of Haywood County, is a native of Williamson County, Tenn., where he was born December 27, 1840, and was the son of Lemuel B. and Frances W. Newborn (Claud) McConnico. The father was married four times: January 9, 1824, to Miss Lucinda M. Grammer; November 6, 1839, to Mrs. Frances W. Claud; March 18, 1848, to Miss Priscilla R. Massy, and August 23, 1857, to Miss Susan Johnson. Lemuel McConnico was born October 8, 1801, and held the office of countycourt clerk of Williamson County for twenty-four years; he died in 1872. Frances W. McConnico, our subject’s mother, was a native, probably, of Virginia, born February 21, 1803, and died January 25, 1848. William C. McConnico was well educated at the Nashville Military University; at an early age he came to Haywood County and purchased the farm near Brownsville, where he is now living. He has been twice married: his first marriage, in December, 1858, was to Miss Lizzie Tyus—she was a native of Haywood County; January 31, 1877, he married Miss Carrie E. Livingston, a native of South Carolina. Mr. McConnico is a sound Democrat and a substantial member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South.
