WILLIAM DICKSON, contractor, Sewickley, was born August 2, 1845, in Glasgow, Scotland, son of Robert and Elizabeth (Shoan) Dickson. They came to America in 1850, settling in Sewickley, Pa., and reared three children, one son and two daughters. His son William received his education in the public school of Sewickley, and for a short time he was in business with his father, but is now doing business on his own account, principally in contracting in stonework.
