MATHIAS VOEGTLY, farmer, post office Ross, was born Oct. 28, 1844, in Allegheny City, Pa., the son of John J. Voegtly. He was educated in this county, and is a successful farmer, owning fifty-eight acres of land. He has been twice married; first to Sarah B. Wible, and after her death to Jane E., daughter of John Guyton, an old settler of McCandless township. Mr. and Mrs. Voegtly are members of the Hiland Presbyterian Church. Politically he is a republican.
