FIRMAN K. DUFF, Allegheny, was born in Huntingdon county, Pa., son of Samuel Duff, of Philadelphia. He received a public-school education, and in 1856 came to Allegheny, where he engaged in the lumber business. He is now in the lime business, being general manager and bookkeeper for the firm of James Hunter & Co. He has always had the confidence and esteem of his employers. Mr. Duff was married to Anna, daughter of Samuel Garrison. Of Mr. Duff’s posterity only one grandson survives, Hays Junken, who lives with his grandfather.
