CYRUS JACOBS, farmer; P. O. Tippecanoe City; was born June 8, 1852, in Bethel Township, Miami Co., on the old farm where he resides; he is a son of Cyrus and Mary Jacobs, spoken of in the biography of L. W. Jacobs; his occupation has always been in tilling the soil, and he is an enterprising young farmer. On the 3d of June, 1879, he married Elizabeth Wigand, who was born in Elizabeth Township, Miami County, Mary 27, 1853; she is the daughter of Lewis and Elizabeth Wigand, who came from Germany in 1835, and located in Dayton; they moved to Elizabeth Township in about 1842, where he died in 1876, at the age of 72 years; his widow is still living and resides on the old farm.
