OSCAR F. DAVISON, tile manufacturer at Nevada, Sec. 20; P. O. Dawn, born in Richland Township Oct. 16, 1837; his father, Robert, was born in Bourbon Co., Ky., and married Mary Stratton, of Greene Co., Ohio, and moved to Darke Co. in 1829. The subject of this sketch was raised a farmer; he engaged in merchandising during the year 1866, but sold out before he had been in business a year, and returned to farming and dealing in livestock; has been Township Assessor of personal property, Supervisor, Trustee, etc.; in 1877, he erected tile works, and now gives his attention to this business. He married Sirena Plessinger, daughter of David Plessinger, in March, 1861; she was born Jan. 28, 1838, and died Nov. 29, 1865, leaving no issue; his second marriage was celebrated with Sarah Jane Plessinger, daughter of George Plessinger, whose biography appears in this work, Feb. 20, 1868; she was born Dec. 20, 1847: they have had five children, viz.: George R., born Jan. 4, 1869, died Sept. 19, following; Tepa H., born Oct. 5, 1872; Mary G., July 8, 1874; Claude E., Jan. 6, 1877, and Cora May, Oct. 21, 1878. He owns 113 acres of land, two good houses and his tile works, which are extensive.
