Benjamin F. Hudson, collector of Wright County, Mo., was born in Shelby County, Ill., in November, 1847. In 1884 he was elected county collector, and received the unanimous nomination of his party. He was re-elected collector in 1886, and because of having filled the period denominated by law, retired, and was no longer a candidate. In March, 1869, he was married to Miss Matilda Williams, a native of Missouri, and the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Williams, natives of Indiana, who came to Missouri at an early date, and located in Wright County.
