Dr. Greene B. Christian, a prosperous physician and surgeon of Sulphur Spring, Mo., was born in Hopkins County, Ky., on June 18, 1850. His father, Robert B. Christian, deceased, was a native of Appomattox County, Va. Dr. Greene B. Christian received a good literary education in the high-school of Providence, Ky., after which he entered the medical department of the University of Louisville, Ky., from which he graduated in 1878. The following March he located at Bordley, Ky., and began practicing his profession, remaining there until October, l883, when he came to his present location. Here he has built up a large practice, and is very successful. On December 5, l874 he was united in marriage with Sarah E. Renegar, a daughter of John Renegar, deceased. Their union has been blessed by the birth of four children of whom three, Holland, Ethel and John B., are living. Dr. Christian is a member of the McDonald County Medical Association, of which he is now serving as president. He is a consistent member of the Baptist Church.
