Below is a family biography included in The History of Jasper County, Missouri published by Mills & Company in 1883.  These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. PHILIP BRADSHAW. He has two farms of eighty acres each, one in Duval township, Jasper county, and the other in Crawford county, Kan. He settled in Medoc, in September, 1869, and soon after located on a farm. He is a native of Tennessee, born May 30, 1816, being a son of Johnny and Nancy (Shipley) Bradshaw, and when two years of age moved with his parents to Caldwell county, Ky., and in 1833 to Gallatin county, Ill., where he grew to manhood. He was married Jan. 20, 1841, to Miss Mary Connery, a native of Kentucky, born Jan. 17, 1816. She died in 1847. He married for his second wife Miss Deborah Weeks. She died, and he was married the third time to Emily Davis, and she lived but a short time, and Dec. 26, 1858, he married for his present wife, Miss Cornelia Goodman, a native of Scott county, Ill, born Aug. 20, 1836, being a daughter of Wm. and Tabitha (Beison) Goodman, a native of Kentucky, who settled in Illinois at an early day. Mr. B. by his first marriage had three children: Eliza, Wm., and Anna; by his third marriage he had one child, Mary E.; and by his present wife, Douglas, S. Jackson, Harriet, George, Anna, Emma, and Thomas.
