WESLEY H. SLACK is one of the most esteemed, as well as one of the most modest and unassuming citizens of Paducah. He was born in New Jersey, and there grew to manhood. He removed to Paducah in the days of its infancy, and has been a resident of the city ever since. He has been engaged in various mercantile and manufacturing enterprises; served a number of years as a member of the city council and school board, and was postmaster of Paducah under the administration of President Johnson. In New Jersey, he married Miss Anna Langstaff, a sister of George Langstaff, one of Paducah’s most worthy men. Mr. Slack is an honored member of the A. F. & A. M.
