H. M. FIELDS, Hickman County, was born March 13, 1848, in Gibson County, Tenn. He is a son of W. D. and Elizabeth (Hale) Fields. The father was born in middle Tennessee; he died in 1863, aged fifty. The mother was born in North Carolina, January 22, 1822, and is now living with her daughter near Clinton, Hickman County. Our subject came to Hickman County in 1870, where he has since lived and owns 103 acres of land. Mr. Fields was married in 1873 to Miss F. J. Evans, of Hickman County; this union has been blessed with three children, one son and two daughters.
