Battey Publishing Company in 1885.  These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. E. E. BOWERS, postmaster, was born March 24, 1843, in Dresden, Weakley County, Tenn. He enlisted in 1862 in Company K, Sixth Tennessee Cavalry, Union Army, and served three years, when he received an honorable discharge. In 1867 he went to Moscow, where he was engaged in merchandising most of the time until 1880, when he came to Clinton, where he has since been engaged in merchandising; he was appointed postmaster in 1882, which office he has since held. Mr. Bowers was married in 1868 to Lydia May of Enterprise, Miss.
