These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. REV. F. M. SHARP, Fulton County, was born June 14, 1844, in Christian County, Ky., and is the fourth of seven children born to Rev. John N. and Mary A. (Usher) Sharp, of Muhlenburgh County, Ky. The father died when subject was quite young, and the latter early lent his helping hand to the support of the family. After his mother’s death in 1865, he attended Bethel College (Russellville, Ky.), for fifteen months. Mr. Sharp commenced preaching when eighteen years old. In 1866 he was ordained to preach and has devoted thereto more or less of the time ever since. In 1882 he came to Fulton and took charge of the church here. He was married in October, 1870, to Miss Linda K. Humphrey, a daughter of J. T. and Sarah (Drake) Humphrey, natives of Muhlenburg County, Ky. Five children have blessed this union: Mary A., Gardner P., Maggie V., Nelson T. and Jennie M.
