L. C. GOODNER, stock-dealer, Kansas, was born in Illinois, on October 20, 1850. He began herding stock in Illinois at the age of fifteen, in partnership with his father. He remained in Illinois six years, and then came to Carthage, Mo. in 1871-72. He came to Baxter Springs in the fall of 1879 and began dealing in cattle and hogs, and has since continued in that business. Mr. Goodner owns a fine residence in Baxter Springs. He is a member of A. O. of U. W. He was married to Miss Jennie Douglas, of Illinois, September 12, 1870. They have three children— Claud M., Cass and Ethel May.
