E. B. CAMPBELL, agent of the Kansas City, Fort Scott & Gulf Railroad, was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., in 1845. At the age of twelve years, he located in Kansas with his people, who settled in Fort Scott, where he was identified with the horticultural industry until 1875, when he accepted a position on this railroad as assistant agent and did work as such at different points on the road until 1878, when he received his present appointment which he has reputably held since. He was married in Scott in 1871, to Miss Alice I. Smith, a native of Macomb County, Ill. They have two little girls—Maud and Edna. He and family are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
