LEWIS DECKER, farmer, Section 25; P. O. Potosi. The subject of this sketch is son of George J. and Margaret Decker, who came from Bavaria to America in 1832; lived in Pennsylvania thirty-two years, and in New York City four years. In the last named place the subject of this sketch was born, November 5, 1844. He has been a resident of Lawndale Tp. six years; is one of the prominent men of the township, and takes a deep interest in education, books and papers; has a complete library, which he has bought from time to time as his means would admit of his doing.
