MORGAN, CHARLES, farmer; Sec. 18; P. O. Richfield; was born in La Rue county, Ky., in 1805; came to Adams county in May, 1847; was married to Nancy Redmond in 1831. She died April 20, 1839. They had five children. He married Elizabeth Gilkey, Oct. 26, 1840, and had six children by this marriage, five of whom are dead. He owns 120 acres of land, under a good state of cultivation, worth $40 per acre. Mrs. Morgan is a member of the M. E. church, and Mr. Morgan a member of the Christian church. Politics, Republican.
